Prediction of fatigue failure in polymers is a highly complex and topical field. In addition to using classical methods, Newgentechs is investigating new methodologies based on energy analysis and self-heating that improve the predictability of fatigue simulations.

High testing capacity

Our laboratory includes a group of test systems specifically designed for polymer fatigue analysis. They have been highly instrumented in order to satisfy the most demanding R&D projects, but they include also automated methods in order to be able to offer very competitive prices and to carry out large testing campaigns in very short times. Specimens and components can be tested in various load modes. The tests are carried out at real temperature: room temperature (RT), high and low temperature.

Determination of fatigue life

Our analysis methods allow us not only to obtain the classic S-N curves, but also to analyze complex relationships between any of the different variables measured or calculated experimentally. Our own analysis software helps us to identify multi-parameter dependencies, allowing the programming of new equations and fittings and constituting a fundamental tool in research activities.

Detailed cycle analysis

The advanced instrumentation is accompanied by a detailed analysis of the evolution by cycles of characteristic magnitudes, such as stresses, strains, energies, etc., providing with an exhaustive information about the evolution of the behavior of the material throughout the test.
